History
Alpha Epsilon was the first Boulé in the state of Texas.
On June 30, 1948, Dallas, Texas was designated as the home of the 38th Boulé. This included the Texas cities of Marshall, Tyler and Ft. Worth (North Texas). The initiative to expand the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity was in progress. Alpha Epsilon was the first Boulé established in the State of Texas. The introductory ceremonies were held at the home of William T. Burke, D.D.S. on Allen Street in Dallas. The Grand Grammaticus, J. H. B. Evans, officiated; he represented the Grand Boulé. The meeting was then transferred to the home of John Leslie Patton, Jr. on Washington Avenue. Here Archon Evans presented the objectives of the fraternity. Fraternal Union

Alpha Epsilon History
The Archons of Alpha Epsilon Boulé...
were men of like quality, taste and attainment. By 1954, Alpha Epsilon had initiated additional archons; they were Dr. C. W. Flint (Ft. Worth), Dr. William Flowers, Jr. (Dallas), Dr. Thomas Cole (Marshall). Dr. W. C. Burnett transferred to Alpha Gamma Boulé. The Archons of Alpha Epsilon Boulé exerted an affirmative influence upon North Texas. These men were leaders,
with tangential spheres of influence that affected the affairs of their communities. Some of these archons were the vertebrae of their communities and provided leadership in efforts that would lead to desegregation.
